This should probably be re-named to Wooden Water & Sensory Play Wheel! 

We are just so amazed at how many ways children are playing with this wheel including pouring sand, rice, water beads, beans, gummy bears and whatever else you can imagine! We’ve even seen (Hannah) a little girl from @sweetlittle.blessings  pour chicken seed/food into the funnel and watch it spin while the chickens have a party! You can view the hilarious Chicken party Instagram video here. The wooden funnel is easily removed at the top which makes more open-ended pouring opportunities.

This resource is so worth the investment! Children LOVE playing with it for so many reasons! The sensory learning experiences are endless and the learning benefits allowing children to learn about energy creation, cause and affect, gravity and physics concepts are life long.

This wonderful timber resource is so open-ended with multiple uses! Children get so much joy as they pour water into the funnel and see the wheel delightfully spin around! Not only can it be used with water but also dry fine sand works amazingly too! The funnel at the top can be removed so children can experiment with pouring other loose grains to investigate what causes the wheel to spin. The Wooden Wheel can also be placed in a small stream between two sticks and it keeps spinning as the water rushes by!
