The Machine Play Crates take something that happens every day in warehouses, construction sites, factories and shops — loading, moving and organising materials — and make it small enough for children to work it themselves.

Designed with integrated base rails, the crates connect with the Explore Nook Machine Collection, giving children a hands-on way to explore how people and machines work together to move things from one place to another.

With two crates, children can load one while moving another, sort different materials, stack and organise their resources, or create their own system for getting things from A to B. Use them with the Wooden Forklift to lift and transport materials, move them onto the Wooden Hand Trolley, or transfer them onto the Wooden Conveyor Belt.

As children load, lift, move, sort and stack, they begin to discover something we do every day without thinking about it — how to organise materials and work out the best way to move them.
