The Wooden Funnel & Chute takes something that happens all around us — materials being poured, moved and flowing from one place to another — and makes it small enough for children to explore themselves.

Fill the removable funnel with sand, rice, lentils, grain, beads or other loose materials and watch them travel through the clear Observation Window before flowing down the timber chute. Children can see the movement as it happens, then change what they put in, how much they use or how they pour it and see what happens next.

The Observation Window gives children a close-up view of materials moving through the funnel. They can watch different textures and particle sizes behave differently, notice changes in speed and flow, make predictions and try again.

Remove the funnel and there’s another way to play. Children can pour, scoop and release materials directly onto the chute, experimenting with how different materials move across the surface and how much they can carry.

Pair the Funnel & Chute with the Sensory Wheels Play Pack to extend the journey. Add the Dry Sensory Wheel at the end and children can explore what happens when materials move through one system and into another.

Care & Storage

Store in a dry, covered environment when not in use. Remove loose materials after play and wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth as needed. Allow to dry thoroughly before storage. Re-oil periodically to maintain the timber.
